With BTC halving complete, will miners move to LTC

Old generation BTC mining equipment is no longer profitable for many BTC miners. Do you think many of them will move to LTC?

Meet AGA, the mining backed, high APY, DEFI, governance token managed by an experienced team of professionals with diverse experience in technology and construction at companies like Accenture, Microsoft, NetApp and University Mechanical Contractors!
Today there are countless tokens offering various levels of staking rewards. Decred voting, XTZ staking, ZEN nodes, and many more. New generation of DeFi tokens have cropped up and offer yield farming rewards in return for pooled liquidity on Uniswap, Balancer and others. Some even offer 10,000% APY returns (in their native unlimited supply token). Unfortunately, with only few exceptions most of these tokens don’t have any source of revenue to fund these rewards and to justify their price. Furthermore, these rewards dilute the supply and ultimately drive the price down.
AGA Token changes this by using Cryptocurrency mining to fund its staking rewards and to back its price. This simple, yet, revolutionary approach aims to deliver substantial returns to all AGA Token holders through liquidity pool staking and price appreciation. Aga Platform is a profitable ASIC and FPGA cryptocurrency mining operation with mining facilities located in Eastern Washington, where electricity prices are one of the lowest in the world. Primarily we mine Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Dash, Digibyte, Verge and Decred. You can monitor mining profitability via our NiceHash dashboard by clicking the screen on the right.

The influence of halving on the development of the cryptosphere

The influence of halving on the development of the cryptosphere
Hello, dear community. In this post, we will tell you about the influence of halving on the development of the cryptosphere.
What is halving?
It’s probably from the name that Halving is a halving. That is, with each new halving, the reward of miners for each block added to the blockchain is halved. Currently, miners receive a reward of 12.5 bitcoins per block. Remuneration reduction occurs every 4 years or after approximately every 210 thousand blocks added.
How does it affect the cryptosphere?
In such a situation, different cryptocurrencies can behave differently. In the best case, cryptocurrency can grow in price. Due to this, the profitability of mining can increase, thereby reducing the likelihood of the “51% attack”. However, this will also lead to a decrease in the yield of the asset’s extraction. In the worst case, there will be a decrease in the number of miners and a drop in the value of the coin.
It is very difficult to make accurate predictions about the development of the cryptosphere, which is typical for cryptocurrencies in general.
“The study shows that assets carrying out halving - both before and after it - do not work better than other market participants. In terms of the two most notable cryptocurrencies with Bitcoin (BTC) and Litecoin (LTC) halving, we see the opposite behaviour,” said Strix Leviathan experts.
In PZM Cash, each member of the network receives a reward for his work. It consists of two parts: commissions from the total amount of transactions that are included in the block (here some realize the ability to set a higher commission in their transaction so that the miner has an incentive to add a transaction to the block he forms), and a fixed fee for the block (for mining). A fixed block reward may decrease over time, for example, how bitcoin halving works.
Thanks to the improved PoS algorithm, a very wide circle of users got the opportunity to participate in the network and receive rewards in PZM Cash.
Join the PZM Cash community and get your rewards!

What is the best mining platform for home/hobby crypto mining?

I have a desktop that I use for gaming, running a GeForce 1660 Super. I started using NiceHash about a month go and I'm now averaging about 0.40 cents per day. Electricity cost is low in my area so I might be making some actual profit.
I'm mainly doing this for fun but would like to use the optimal platform for profitability. Is there a better platform to use? I like NiceHash because it is easy to use. I'm guessing that most people don't even bother home crypto mine due to the increased mining difficulty for litecoin, bitcoin, etc.

@SatoshiLite: 1/ I think a better way to fund development is mining pools voluntarily donate a portion of the block reward. How about Litecoin pools donate 1% (0.125 LTC) of block rewards to the @LTCFoundation ? If every miner/pool does this, it amounts to about $1.5MM donation per year!

Can You Advertise Crypto on Facebook or Instagram?

Can You Advertise Crypto on Facebook or Instagram?
https://preview.redd.it/0c3i75inenr51.jpg?width=2400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=af0d3c4a25d073a36c89aca8442887a15b29699c
Cryptocurrencies have gained a fair amount of popularity, people are now investing in it and are actively looking for platforms from where they can do a sale and purchase of cryptocurrencies. Despite being a popular investment medium, many social media platforms have laid stringent policies pertaining to online advertising of cryptocurrency investment. The reason is pretty simple: social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram have made it mandatory for companies to seek permission when it comes to advertising news about cryptocurrencies or other financial investment. The reason is obvious, despite its growing popularity, cryptocurrencies have still not been able to be a part of the mainstream. There is a lot of apprehension surrounding its longevity and credibility.
Often when we speak about cryptocurrencies, then we think that’s it’s all about Bitcoin, Ripple, Ethereum, or Litecoin. But, here we would like to say that there are thousands of other cryptocurrencies which are worthless.
A lot of these coins are fake or parodies. The ROI that the companies promote in lieu of spending in their cryptocurrencies. These companies promote their coins on different websites as guest posts, and blogs. ICOs or Initial Coin Offering is one of the best ways to invest in cryptocurrencies. This makes it easy for small investors to invest in cryptocurrencies and earn profits. However, a lot of people fall prey to it, and many people have fallen prey to ICO scams.
The end objective of coin scammers is to expand their userbase, make more and more people use their coin, and in return, they make money out of it. Hence, many social media platforms and other websites are working on removing cryptocurrency ads. Facebook has recently joined the league.
Facebook’s and Instagram take on advertising cryptocurrency :
As we have discussed above that many people, fall prey to these scams and hence social media platforms that have millions of users. It is very easy for cryptocurrency companies to reach out to millions of people with ease, thus creating a greater proportion of people falling prey to scams. Hence, Facebook has taken some stringent actions.
The news came out in June 2018, when Facebook announced the banning of advertisements, it mentioned that advertisements must not promote any financial products and services which are associated with deceptive promotional practices like initial coin offerings, or cryptocurrency and binary options.
The only objective is to ensure that the users of Facebook or any other social media platform are not deceived or get scammed.
Facebook also talks about the following:
As per the cryptocurrency products and services ads policy, companies who are planning to run advertisements for promoting cryptocurrency, or cryptocurrency mining software, or hardware or cryptocurrency investment advice must first be eligible for it. They need to get the approval form Facebook, and once they get this approved, they must also ensure that the advertisement must not be misleading.
But when it comes to an advertisement promoting Blockchain, cryptocurrency news, or events or payment methods or digital payment tools or even merchandise do no require permission.
The crux is that companies and advertisers that adhere to the policies of the company; they can promote it on social media platforms.

Longtime Habitual Lurker

I've been glued to the only ways I know how to stay informed about bitcoin for multiple years. Yes years I've sat refreshing the btc, coin.dance and fork.lol etc. My obscure twitter feed and conversations with a group of friends that's been going on for almost a decade with a particular chat for 'crypto.'
I spend countless hours; refresh into existence any information I can glean on the developments of bitcoin in the world. This cant be healthy, however, I will tell you the some of a story of that I have gleaned in my particular obsession with all things bitcoin.
In early 2017 a friend of mine sent .01 btc( what a cool friend!) which I could argue was the catalyst for much of this. I had heard about bitcoin prior but had never participated.
The remained of that year and since I've been hooked.
I've always been a wall flower about it though, outside of conversations with a few close friends & my father (very grateful to have in my life) and some recent meanderings on social media which frankly aren't very well thought out though.
Well, after several months of first dipping my toes in I had been exposed to wallets, nodes, exchanges, private keys, and public keys, etc. and became interested in all the hype of different projects in the sphere during an epic explosion in cryptographic currency. I researched alot of them like bitcoin, litecoin, dash, ethereum, monero etc.
I'd like to think I had gleaned some insight about each crypto and the experience they offered by broadcasting transactions on the networks.
Anyways Aug 1st 2017 BCH changed some consensus rules and forked from btc. By November of that year, from what I had learned, I instinctually came to the conclusion the bitcoin cash was totally 'where its at.'
by this time I had acquired some BCH. I had a pattern of making what I see now to be pretty outrageous moves with the 'stash' or investment I had in bitcoin by that time.
I thought the network was so neat and for a few other reasons I decided to purchase a mining contract from bitcoin.com for 1 yr @ 200 Th/s in which I mined BCH 100% of the contract. ( i always thought just maybe roger used some of my irrational hashrate to fend of BSV at the split in 2018 but its probably fantasy I know.
didn't pan out to well but i thought i'd learned alot and made a (for one guy) major contribution to the security of the network by solely mining BCH and not what was most profitable at the moment. I guess it was because I really believed that it solved something nothing else was able too in some way.
Anyways that was years ago and doesn't really matter much.
Lurking day in day out trying to get the low down on what the happening is all the while dynamics fluctuating wildly within the crypto world. It was tough at times, exciting at times, boring much of it. Its been a lot of ups down and sideways and much of it blends together.
Anyways I see these players making things happen in the game I ain't gonna name any of you because you already know who you are.
I'm glad you've been public or contributed or whatever you do, you dig?the bitcoin cash ecosystem with a whole lot of cool stuff being developed and forked in at every upgrade (thanks bitcoin abc)
Lately has been a surge in developments within the ecosystem and its kinda hard to follow at times but honestly most of the shit i've been able to tune in to is probably superficial bs regardless and I don't consider myself and expert in any given area because i'm just me this guy working a union job doing my thing all the while being fanatically interested in bitcoin.
hope this doesnt come off as a rant or pure ramble but i'll conclude here by saying , for what its worth, i think bitcoin cash is the greatest and I really would like to see it work out that more players in the game realize that its a sleeping giant and maybe just maybe the math is right and the fervor is there and the network survives all this crazy happening in all these markets an whatever and that i'm not jst some fly on the wall anymore...
btw this is the longest peice i've written in years in any medium . I care about this shit immensely although i realize I know nothing maybe this is good to network if anyone is looking for a regular old man with a brief history in bitcoin
haven't spell checked, didn't check for grammar just wanted to be here as a real person in all this wild ride we people be on.

Multi apartment clustered cryptocurrency mining rig

So you’ve probably just heard all your classes are online. And now you’re trying to sublet your apartment but no one’s gonna take it. So now you’re gonna be paying at least $1000/month for an empty apartment. I have a proposal that can reduce that cost and possibly turn a profit.
Firstly, we have a very high risk credit market on our hands. The Federal Reserve has been pumping money into the economy and at some point the US dollar will have to inflate while growth stagnates (aka stagflation). During stagflationary periods in the past the price of non-fiat currencies like gold or silver has skyrocketed. Recently cryptocurrencies have emerged with the same general economic properties of such commodities. Therefore we may see an increase in their values as the Fed keeps pumping more money into the economy.
As of now in order to generate enough money per month to pay off rent in South Campus Commons, each apartment would need a Bitcoin rig capable of generating ~2200 TH/s (since you don’t pay for electricity). For the Varsity and View this might have to be higher considering the cost of electricity. This is definitely possible with new ASIC chips that are solely built for the purpose of running Bitcoin hashing algorithms. For other cryptocurrencies (Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin), these rates may be different. But like any good portfolio manager, diversifying our investments will ensure we have a profitable outcome.
If enough students come together to construct a Bitcoin mining rig in their apartments we could essentially create a multi apartment clustered miner to be able to generate Bitcoin. On top of that, because campus server resources will be diminished due to online classes, we can in turn utilize that computing power to help mine such cryptocurrencies. As a result we won’t have to find people to sublet our apartments to and won’t have to worry about the financial undertakings associated with it.
TL;DR: Corona collectively fucked everyone in the ass and we should build a massive Bitcoin rig to pay off our rent.

New England
New England 6 States Songs: https://www.reddit.com/newengland/comments/er8wxd/new_england_6_states_songs/
NewEnglandcoin
Symbol: NENG
NewEnglandcoin is a clone of Bitcoin using scrypt as a proof-of-work algorithm with enhanced features to protect against 51% attack and decentralize on mining to allow diversified mining rigs across CPUs, GPUs, ASICs and Android phones.
Mining Algorithm: Scrypt with RandomSpike. RandomSpike is 3rd generation of Dynamic Difficulty (DynDiff) algorithm on top of scrypt.
1 minute block targets base difficulty reset: every 1440 blocks subsidy halves in 2.1m blocks (~ 2 to 4 years) 84,000,000,000 total maximum NENG 20000 NENG per block Pre-mine: 1% - reserved for dev fund ICO: None RPCPort: 6376 Port: 6377
NewEnglandcoin has dogecoin like supply at 84 billion maximum NENG. This huge supply insures that NENG is suitable for retail transactions and daily use. The inflation schedule of NengEnglandcoin is actually identical to that of Litecoin. Bitcoin and Litecoin are already proven to be great long term store of value. The Litecoin-like NENG inflation schedule will make NewEnglandcoin ideal for long term investment appreciation as the supply is limited and capped at a fixed number
Bitcoin Fork - Suitable for Home Hobbyists
NewEnglandcoin core wallet continues to maintain version tag of "Satoshi v0.8.7.5" because NewEnglandcoin is very much an exact clone of bitcoin plus some mining feature changes with DynDiff algorithm. NewEnglandcoin is very suitable as lite version of bitcoin for educational purpose on desktop mining, full node running and bitcoin programming using bitcoin-json APIs.
The NewEnglandcoin (NENG) mining algorithm original upgrade ideas were mainly designed for decentralization of mining rigs on scrypt, which is same algo as litecoin/dogecoin. The way it is going now is that NENG is very suitable for bitcoin/litecoin/dogecoin hobbyists who can not , will not spend huge money to run noisy ASIC/GPU mining equipments, but still want to mine NENG at home with quiet simple CPU/GPU or with a cheap ASIC like FutureBit Moonlander 2 USB or Apollo pod on solo mining setup to obtain very decent profitable results. NENG allows bitcoin litecoin hobbyists to experience full node running, solo mining, CPU/GPU/ASIC for a fun experience at home at cheap cost without breaking bank on equipment or electricity.

CPU Minable Coin Because of dynamic difficulty algorithm on top of scrypt, NewEnglandcoin is CPU Minable. Users can easily set up full node for mining at Home PC or Mac using our dedicated cheetah software.
Research on the first forked 50 blocks on v1.2.0 core confirmed that ASIC/GPU miners mined 66% of 50 blocks, CPU miners mined the remaining 34%.
NENG v1.4.0 release enabled CPU mining inside android phones.

Decentralization and Community Driven NewEnglandcoin is a decentralized coin just like bitcoin. There is no boss on NewEnglandcoin. Nobody nor the dev owns NENG.
We know a coin is worth nothing if there is no backing from community. Therefore, we as dev do not intend to make decision on this coin solely by ourselves. It is our expectation that NewEnglandcoin community will make majority of decisions on direction of this coin from now on. We as dev merely view our-self as coin creater and technical support of this coin while providing NENG a permanent home at ShorelineCrypto Exchange.

ASIC/GPU Mining Pools Warning to Big ASIC Miners Due to DynDiff Algo on top of Scrypt, solo mining is recommended for ASIC/GPU miners. Further more, even for mining pools, small mining pool will generate better performance than big NENG mining pool because of new algo v1.2.x post hard fork.
The set up configuration of NENG for scrypt pool mining is same as a typical normal scrypt coin. In other word, DynDiff on Scrypt algo is backward compatible with Scrypt algo. Because ASIC/GPU miners rely on CPU miners for smooth blockchain movement, checkout bottom of "Latest News" section for A WARNING to All ASIC miners before you decide to dump big ASIC hash rate into NENG mining.
(1) Original DynDiff Warning: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5027091.msg48324708#msg48324708 (2) New Warning on RandomSpike Spike difficulty (244k) introduced in RandomSpike served as roadblocks to instant mining and provide security against 51% attack risk. However, this spike difficulty like a roadblock that makes big ASIC mining less profitable. In case of spike block to be mined, the spike difficulty immediately serve as base difficulty, which will block GPU/ASIC miners effectively and leave CPU cheetah solo miners dominating mining almost 100% until next base difficulty reset.

This is a well established, working and mining organization, with a well known and regarded CEO, who is active in the TG group. He is well regarded among other crypto communities. Ferrums founder, Ian Friend, was seen mingling in the AGA chat today and is yet to be determined whether he is involved with the project. When questioned, his response was, "wait and see".
Why worry about being rugged on risky coins, when you can churn out some easy Eths with this comfy, low risk buy??
Marketcap is around $2.5million on this atm and price at time of this post is $2.79 per coin.
Last but not least, only 900k in circulation!
With some marketing and exposure, expect this to 4x over the next few weeks, but if we are entering the bull run, as many suspect, all bets are off and these low caps could moon.
This is as low risk as they come IMO, but still, DYOR.

Building an Ethereum Mining Rig - Part 2

First update to the guide "Building a 6Gpu Mining Rig for Ethereum" - Let's talk about Claymore.
This update supplements and does not replace the Guide to Build a 6GPU Mining Rig for Ethereum published on our site.

The substantial differences are due to the installation of the latest version of the Windows 10 Operating System, the mining on the Ethermine pool (in our opinion simpler than Dwarfpool) and the use of the XFX RX 580 8gb GPUs.

The first variant is found in Part 4 of the guide: the environment variables are not to be entered as they will be integrated directly into the bat file to start mining.

The second variant is found in Part 7 of the guide and leads us to "mine" on a different pool using the Claymore software.
Download the latest version at the following link: https://github.com/Claymore-Dual/Claymore-Dual-Miner

Once downloaded, unzip everything on a folder on your desktop and open the start.bat file with notepad. Clear the contents and copy the following command:

start config.dll -epool eu1.ethermine.org:14444 -ewal "your ETH wallet address" -epsw x -worker "worker"
EthDcrMiner64.exe

Where instead of "your wallet address" you will have to put your Ethererum wallet - obviously without the quotes - and instead of worker you will put an identification number in case you build more RIGs (such as RIG1, RIG2, etc ...). We opted for the eu1 pool even if some on the discussion forums believe that the us1 is more profitable.

At the following link, many other useful commands for your Rig:
https://github.com/Claymore-Dual/Claymore-Dual-Miner

The Ethermine pool offers a very well crafted and descriptive interface. In the Payouts section, after only 5 minutes of mining, you can decide the minimum amount of Ether to be transferred to your wallet by simply entering the IP address of the RIG.

We have decided to mine directly on the Ethereum address of our Exodus wallet. It is not recommended to mine directly on Coinbase, as reported on the site itself. Sin.

Nothing should be left to chance when you decide to build a mining rig for Ethereum.
The third variant is the most difficult of all. Once you have reached Part 5 of the guide, you can decide whether to continue or follow this update / variant. If you are here it is probably because you have run into some problem that the guide does not allow you to solve.

With the latest version of Windows 10, you may run into a kernel conflict between the operating system and AMD's Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition Beta for Blockchain Compute drivers. This conflict will prevent you from using Atiflash after installing the drivers.

Important: Before making any changes to the BIOS, please backup each GPU.

Important: first of all flash the GPUs with the original bios if for any reason you are forced to reinstall the operating system.

Still on Atiflash.
The advice would therefore be to flash the GPUs and then install the AMD drivers. Let's say it would be because you may run into another problem this time related to the GPUs themselves. Since each video card is different from any other, the bios mod of the GPU could crash the operating system showing the classic blue screen and displaying an error related to the Atimkdag.sys file.

This could be due to the fact that some GPUs have significantly higher performance in the calculation phase than others. We could call it a factory overclock but not using them for gaming we cannot say it with absolute certainty.

Having assessed these two drawbacks, the only safe solution is to flash all the GPUs, disconnect them except for the first one, install the Blockchain drivers (plus Atimkdag patch) and launch the mining command verifying that the operating system does not go into crash in the next 5 minutes.

Turn off the rig again and connect the second GPU so on up to the sixth. In the event that one or more video cards should crash the system, disconnect them. After that, it uses DDU from the provisional mode and flashes these GPUs with their original bios. At this point, connect them again, reinstall the Blockcain drivers (plus Atimkdag patch) and start mining definitively.

All the operations related to the use of Atiflash, DDU and driver installation are reported in Part 5 and Part 6 of our guide.
A little bit of Overclocking.
You will certainly find significant differences in performance between the GPUs.

At this point all that remains is to "operate" with an overclocking software. We opt for OverdriveNtool. Our constantly updated guide is available at the following link: https://www.cryptoall.it/2019/10/12/complete-guide-to-overdriventool/

Link to the official YouTube channel for verification: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdE9TTHAOtyKxy59rALSprA

GPUs with modified bios will not leave much room for modification. You will have to proceed with the most extreme overclocking on those that mount the original bios; obviously always in small steps by saving the profile for each GPU. Our guide explains in detail how to do it.

Hoping to have been of help, we give everyone an appointment for the second part of the update on how to build an Ethereum mining rig in which we will explain in detail the dual mining on the Ethermine pool.

See you soon.

ACIS-mining and its 3 best algorithms

ACIS-mining and its 3 best algorithms
Hello. 👋🏻 Today we will tell you about ACIS-mining and its 3 best algorithms.
📌 With the advent of ASICs for mining, it became possible to mine Bitcoin in much larger quantities than using video cards. ASIC is an integrated circuit specialized to solve a specific problem, in our case, only for bitcoin mining. These schemes are many times more profitable than video cards, because with more power (hash calculation speed) they consume much less energy. This served as a good reason to create a cryptocurrency mining business.
📌 In bitcoin and other blockchain systems, the complexity of mining depends on how quickly the miners find the block. Compared with the GPU and CPU, specialized #ASIC miners solve #PoW puzzles better and are therefore able to quickly find new blocks.
📌 Since PoW is still the preferred mining consensus mechanism, we propose to take a multiple algorithm approach. Instead of trying to use algorithms which are ASIC resistant, we propose to use algorithms which have had ASIC miners for quite some time. These are: #SHA256, #Scrypt, and #X11.
🔹 The SHA-256 algorithm has a number of advantages over other information protection technologies. Over the years of use in the cryptocurrency industry, he has shown his resistance to various hacking attempts.
🔹 Scrypt is a cryptocurrency mining algorithm that was previously interesting to many single miners in view of its resistance to the so-called “hardware attack”. The speed of creating blocks in a Scrypt-based blockchain is about 30 seconds. The hashrate, like Ethash, is measured in Megahash per second. Scrypt, first of all, became popular due to its use in Litecoin #cryptocurrency.
🔹 X11 is an encryption algorithm in which eleven are used instead of one function. This means that this technology can provide a high degree of security, because in order to harm the system, an attacker will have to crack all 11 functions, which is very unlikely, because the changes made will be visible after breaking the first function, and developers will have a lot of time to protect the system before the hacker reaches the eleventh function.
Since these miners are already in wide use, the distribution of mining should be fair and even. Furthermore, the use of three different algorithms results in a far less chance of any single person gaining a majority hash rate share. Lastly, we use the Multishield difficulty adjustment algorithm to prevent difficulty spike issues resulting from burst mining.
